I just beat Exdeath the first/dummy time and we’re having a big party at the castle in the first world. The next thing that happens in the game will be Exdeath coming back as a tree or something to crash the party.

My view of Iran is that it doesn’t matter whether I thought the war was justified or not; the fact is that it’s here and we need to think about what to do now. It’s an.attitude that has served me well at low places in life. Right now, the best thing to do is finish clearing out that rotting regime in Tehran. If Trump does that I will approve of his handling of the matter. What happens after the immediate crisis, of course, is literally another day entirely. We’ll look at it in more sober light when we can.

On the other hand, how we can bloodlessly replace an entrenched near-50-year dictatorship with a liberal democratic regime. Obviously it will have to be done by the Iranians themselves, but because of the regime’s repression there is no armed opposition to speak of. The constitution remains intact so the best we can hope for is manipulating the assembly that elects the Supreme Leader into appointing a friendly puppet, conveniently kicking the can down to the next presidency while the Iranian economy booms followed relaxing of sanctions and the seamless control of civil society. The Majils makes constitutional reforms, Trump is a national hero.
