Probably no more likely than Slaughterhouse-Five that same year being advertised as “from the director of Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid”. George Roy Hill directed that between two beloved Redford-Newman movies that are far better remembered–in fact, the Slaughterhouse-Five movie is so badly dated that I can’t believe it’s never been remade. (At least Portnoy’s Complaint is based off a good book, but I just finished it and it’s nothing special as a film, though it does amusingly cast Jill Clayburgh as the tough Israeli girl who Portnoy tries to rape at the end, and she kicks him in the balls.)

Troy had some pretty great shots of Troy burning, but you had to sit through Troy to get to them.
