Yeah it was perfect timing that the film happened when it did, after Dark Side the nature of the band completely changed.

One of my favourite things about Pompeii, which I had completely forgotten about since i last saw it (I saw the directors cut DVD version with CGI additions when I was a teen), was that Nick Mason is pretty much the main character of the whole thing. I dont think there’s any other PF related content where Mason gets such an intense focus. He also comes across as the most likable of the group by far. roger unsurprisingly comes off as a smarmy turd. Gilmour and amusingly talks about how they arent a drug band while he’s obviously stoned. Also pretty cool to have that footage of the DSOTM behind the scenes, since I dont think any other floyd album (or many albums from that era, period) have any making of footage at all.
