I’d pick Harakiri as his finest hour, I know Ran is probably the most common choice, at least in the English speaking world.

Goyokin is one that I really like but don’t think is easy to find now. I have it on DVD. If you like Sword of the Beast (which he’s not in but has long been available from Criterion) then you’d probably like Goyokin.

Looks like Criterion is streaming some movies with him that I’ve never seen so I should probably resubscribe soon.
