The main reason I want to hate the death penalty is because we’ve all been told a million times that people who turned out not to be guilty were executed, but the main reason I don’t want to hate it is because I don’t think that the victims’ families are always guilty of “dancing on somebody’s grave” or something like that.
The main defense for Christa Pike from all the bleeding hearts seems to be that her childhood was worse than Sinead O’Connor’s, but that doesn’t much sway me.

I guess I don’t have any more profound thing to say about the death penalty than I do about, say, Gaza, which I have little more to say about than, deuhrrr, gee, I, uh, hope more innocent people don’t die.
