I’m mildly pro-death penalty just because we’ve had it for all of human history, but until a couple hundred years ago every civilized society had slavery/institutionalized servitide and that turned out to be a bad thing historically. Its always having been there nudges me onto the “pro” side of the ledger, but I have no sttong feelings on the issue one way or another.

Still, I think something big, consequential, and swift will follow from this.
