Coogan played Jimmy Savile recently, and although I only know a few details of that story (it’s nastier than Bill Cosby’s, for starters) I considered watching the film. It’s all the eerier considering that there’s old footage of Coogan doing a Savile impression next to the actual Savile, years before it came out what a demon the guy was.

It’s certainly easy to forget that SLJ and Pam Grier are the same age! If the movie is in part about aging then that’s interesting considering Tarantino wasn’t even 35 yet when he directed it. Forster got the only Oscar nomination for that film and I know that JB is sometimes held up as an example of Oscars whitewashing but I’m not entirely sure. De Niro seems to be channelling Eddie Bunker. The Michael Keaton character is sort of an afterthought in the movie but he has that one scene in the interrogation room where Keaton gets to act weird (and who, really, ever cared for the non-weird Michael Keaton?)
