Maybe I’ll watch Pluribus.
For something I did like about the last season: I kinda had mixed feeling about killing Howard they way they did, but I enjoyed the emotional reversal. The whole plot to embarrass him was genuinely fun, but the twist where they were forced to continue it to cover up his death felt truly horrible. Mike’s line about how all they needed to do was keep telling the same lies they’d been telling was one of the series’ best moments.
El Camino serves as big proof to me that there should not be some “Gilligan-verse.”
Well it wasn’t really an attempt to expand anything. It was more like they took an episode that they’d initially thown out because it wasn’t important and didn’t fit into the flow of the series, and then padded it out to 90 minutes.
