Trouble Boys is far and away the best rock bio I’ve ever read. There’s only one about Husker Du but I heard it wasn’t very good, and not interested in Mould’s autobiography (Prindle claimed Bob listed practically every guy he’d ever had sex with).

You’re probably thinking of Mick trying to decapitate Dave with a cymbal onstage very early in their career. That’s a pretty well known rock legend.

Oh, wait, now I remember. Dave got kicked out of high school for having sex with his girlfriend behind the bushes and both families put an end to it. Susannah got pregnant and I’m not sure what happened to the baby, but he never saw her again until decades later. Well, at least we got “Mindless Child of Motherhood” and “Susannah’s Still Alive” out of it.
