I’m not a fan either, to me it’s essentially green water of no taste or value, and if I’m ordering a burger that’s my first demand - no lettuce. But lettuce is impossible to get away from if you’re ordering a salad or buying those prepackaged bags or bowls in the supermarket. I could make my own salads but that’s not practical if you’re a single person tossing for oneself. The amount of ingredients needed would mean that I’d have a ton of carrots and whatnot leftover that would quickly go to waste in less than two weeks. Fresh vegetables have a very short shelf life.
