I saw some glowing reviews for it and was considering going to theaters (something I really only feel like doing once or twice a year at most anymore) to see it. I haven’t seen a Spielberg movie since Lincoln for some reason. I don’t know why, I just haven’t–I probably should!

Is this same Rip Van Winkle quality you talk about being held AGAINST Spielberg by anyone? People saying he’s out of touch? Remember when Eyes Wide Shut (now on Criterion, though I don’t feel like double dipping) got called “the dirtiest movie of 1958”? Spielberg is 80 this year and I’m not sure if he’s going to retire soon, or if he’s gonna be like Clint Eastwood and Ridley Scott and keep going (though Eastwood’s retirement was announced recently?)
