he was a drummer for Jimi Hendrix for the Band Of Gypsys and jammed with him and Stephen Stills a year prior to that album
so this cover is quite interesting that he recorded a live staple of Jimi Hendrix (even if it is a cover) prior to performing with Hendrix.
although he never performed Killing Floor with Hendrix
