The best way to find truly forgotten acts

…is to go digging through second hand vinyl in charity shops. You stumble on all sorts of stuff that mattered to someone once but is so many generations removed from relevancy that they’ve passed out of all knowledge.

For 60’s/70’s that’s usually easy listening or big band/orchestral stuff. The kind of thing where the cover is a musty photo of someone’s face against a pastoral background, with some florid text on top.

I’ve never heard of Ronnie Dove but those other two I know at least one song by, so I can’t really say they’ve achieve true obscurity.
