I’d slightly contest chubby checker being deserving. Is “the Twist” really that special and groundbreaking? But whatever, not that bothered by it, he’s fine. Cyndi Lauper on the other hand is just totally awful, just embarrassing to induct her. Bad Company are hella mediocre, huge snore; One of the most middle of the road rock bands. White Stripes even though I’m not a fan i totally understand, but really if I’m honest Jack White should be in the hall and ONLY Jack White. Meg White is a meme drummer. Soundgarden are overdue. Outkast are not a rock band, but whatever they’re one of the better acts nominated so sure. Warren Zevon is very deserved.

It doesnt surprise me one bit that Phish got snubbed even after winning the fan vote. But it does make me roll my eyes a bit since unlike the rest of the nominees who are either defunct or long past their prime Phish are still putting on the best rock and roll concerts possible to this day. they would also make the induction ceremony very entertaining and full of hijinks, which it probably wont be as it currently is. its inevitable they’ll get in eventually though so whatever, we’ll see them back on the ballot again in a couple years.
