Last I heard of Mr. Ratner was the hilarious rumor that he was being given a billion dollar budget to direct This Island Earth remake, which was a hideous April Fools’ joke from God knows when

The only place that claim was ever made was here, by me. It was in response to an article title “Brett Ratner, Billion Dollar Director” that Tony said he saw on a news site, I think right below an article about the death of Michelangelo Antonioni and/or Ingmar Bergman.
