I’m listening to the game on Westwood One and this is the best halftime show ever. They played it safe for decades after 2004 with legacy and top 40 acts. This is as vital the Super Bowl halftime show has been in decades, no matter what you think of the music

Re: that guy – by “American” he meant the shared overarching general culture (yes, historically European-derived and economically driven by a majority-whire base) known around the world as culturally “American”. You know this well and were baiting.

It’s not my kind of music (a lot better than last year, just personal preference) but it was something different. If last year broke the general mold they had been in of legacy and top-40 acts following the wardrobe malfunction, this took it up a notch creatively.

Speaking of the IC title, it was annoying how good Honky Tonk Man was. It’s strange that despite consistently beating the best of the midcard, he couldn’t compete for the world championship. It’s almost like it was fake or something

And even though the refs always missed him smashing the guitar over his opponent’s head, you’d think Jack Tunney would have noticed and banned that prop from ringside.

When it was going on I thought it was the best halftime show ever just because it was so different and so alive. Also, I was high. But not one that can easily be compared.
