Aimme Mann is so much more than her big hit with Til Tuesday 40 years ago (admittedly a great song, by the way…despite her not hitting the notes as easily as 40 years ago - those familiar with her catalogue know she’s not known for her range - she’s primarily an alto)).
I would rate her as one of the most underrated singer songwriters ever…male or female.....great lyrics (though sometimes bleak), strong melodies, some wonderful arrangements often in an accessible power pop style that would have made her more popular in an earlier era - say the 1970’s.
Great show as well…I saw her a few years back at a small venue outside of Cincinnati with Jonathan Coulton and she did not disappoint
