I meant a federal system as opposed to a unitary one (the classic example is France), not balance of powers which is pretty much dead

I do think there will be a three-branch backlash to Trump in 2028 (he’s shown he literally doesn’t care what the people think – he says polls are fake) followed by serious demagafication reforms to pare back executive power. It’s in nobody’s interest to keep having an elected monarch when there is the political appetite for change.
