Hackers and Kids basically grossed the same at the box office (around $7.5m each). Mallrats though only made around $2m. If you want to use Letterboxd as a metric of current popularity, it’s pretty clearly Kids > Hackers > Mallrats.

I never bothered seeing Kids, after seeing Gummo and Wassup Rockers I felt like I had enough of that schtick.
