Bill Cosby followed by Giuliani, and nobody else on the list is even close. Phil Spector is seen as a terrible person but people who care who he was don’t think that it’s diminished his legacy in the world of music. Garry Glitter had one ironically enjoyed hit and alot of people probably only learned who did it after the scandal. Most people have never heard of Iced Earth. Has Will Smith had enough of a fall to even be considered?

Neil Gaiman stands out to me as someone who had a massive following and became radioactive overnight. The best thing he could do for his legacy is die, so people don’t feel gross about giving him royalties when they buy his work. Then he’d be more likely to be remembered as “hugely problematic,” rather than forgotten as people boycotted him for the last 25 years of his life.
