I only remember a few things about that one, but “bleak” is right (the poster read something like “She’s 15. The only adult she admires is Johnny Rotten.”) so bleak that I couldn’t even remember if Hopper dies or not.

What I do know is that Hopper somehow managed to direct a film in 1980, which is a miracle considering he was fucked completely up for most of the 1970s, and didn’t get clean (and convert to Reaganism) until after a disastrous 1984 incident when he almost died in the jungle somewhere.
