For an album as huge as Speakerboxx/Love Below was, the Big Boi half is really underrated. Big Boi’s half is just a really great record that plays to all of OutKast’s strengths. That half alone I enjoy about as much as I do their previous albums like Stankonia. I’m more likely to listen to that one from start to finish than I am the Andre side, which really did not need to be 20 minutes longer than Big Boi’s side and falls of quite a bit in the back half. It’s still great too, the genre bending and zaniness of the Andre side is what makes it even more extra from just a regular OutKast album, but regular OutKast is still pretty good.
