Since I was lukewarm towards the Chameleons’ debut, I never bothered with the two followups. What 80s post-punk band is next? The Sound? Comsat Angels? The House of Love? All in the same mopey cricket grounds and all better. You’ve already heard the Bunnymen and Furs.

There are far better places to start with the Stranglers.
