Paper mache is very twee. I liked it initially because it reminded me of elephant 6 stuff like early of montreal. the tunes are catchy, though yeah it’s not exactly the kind of record that will touch your soul of anything. Syd Barrett is a solid comparison.

B741 is really rockin. Big fan of that one. Comparing that with early records like Nonagon and Paper Mache shows the contrast of their earlier and later eras pretty well. Their production has improved a lot at the very least.

that Mojo article is a good top ten, thats not the order i would arrange them in but with the exception of Eyes Like The Sky (no idea how that one managed to make the list) they’re all worthy picks.
