Apparently Wayne made some comments that said there were other reasons involved in Steven leaving the band (insinuating relapse of drug problems) and adding fuel to the fire of this drama.

But I can’t say I’m surprised. Yeah Drozd did tons of the music and was the big creative force for much of their career but it was still always Wayne’s band.
If they retire from new releases I think I’m OK with that. American Head made for a decent epilogue to their career. And who knows maybe Wayne will be able to crank out something decent without Drozd. But I suspect he’ll just tour the band around as a legacy act now. Pretty sure most of the current non-Wayne Lips members have been part of the touring band for a long time so it’s not like that aspect would really change much.
