Heinlein is very hit and miss, his politics are a weird mix of right wing libertarianism and hippy free love and his politics/philosophy are always in your face,and his reputation as a creepy old uncle is well earned (time traveling incest, anyone?), but he’s a very entertaining writer most of the time and goes down easy in a pulp fiction format.
