So at eleven o’clock last night I’m asleep and my phone rings. I answer and a low, gruff voice greets me.
“Hello?”
“Yes, is this Stephen?”
“Yeah”
“Stephen Twentyman?” (congrats on pronouncing my name right)
“Yeah”
“Hi, this is Will. Studer. From Music Babble. You said you’d Photoshop me onto Goatse or Tubgirl if I didn’t call.”
“Uh, yeah” (I’m still groggy) “Uh, call tomorrow, I’m sleeping. Plus I’ll have weed”
“ok bro 420 blaze it ph4ggit”
According to USPS tracking, the weed isn’t coming until tomorrow (Friday) so call then. Even given the time difference, who makes a phone call at 10pm?
I gave out my number once in like 2007 and Brian Theissen called, whom I didn’t recognize because I had always read his name as Thiessen and thought it was a Brian Tyson calling. Plus I think Pugeye called, but this was back in his lame MARYANNE days. Plus Jamie and Derrick. I was both s drunk and a loser in those days though.
I can’t wait to talk uo Billy D. Williams high. Not because I’m a stoner whose entire personality is weed, but because it sounds like an amazing experience.
