All this time I thought Sault Ste. Marie was in Ontario – the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds play in the Ontario Hockey League, at least. Shows how much I know. Are they Upper Peninsula?

I played football all through high school because my dad made me. I hated it and just assed off in practice, but I still lettered because I got into a game senior year for two plays before getting drilled by a facemask in an unpadded area and had to go out with back spasms. It was a small school who took any warm body who could keep up in practice.

What it did do for my development was, first, to be a constant source of drugs, and two, was one of the two things that got me invited to parties (the other was some senior elective-mates taking me under their wing when I was a sophomore.)

Thanks, dad!
