Yeah the name thing isn’t that big a deal. It makes more sense from a promotional sense obviously. And i think they’re making it clear by also adding other band members like a keyboard player that this era will be distinctly different and not trying to pretend that this will be the same kind of Rush experience that they delivered last time they performed. To me it also seems like they dont intend on making any new albums but I wouldn’t mind if they tried. Neil’s probably got loads of unused lyrics they could sift through right?

Rather annoyed at such a small number of cities on the tourdates. Nothing even remotely close to Vancouver or Seattle when the PNW has been one of the most reliable stops for them over the years. I’d be willing to travel a bit, but definitely not going to travel all the way to the only west coast date in LA or the only Canada date in Toronto. But the massive gaps between the dates makes me feel like this is just the first wave of show announcements. And I highly doubt this tour will be a one-off. Rush is probably the biggest thing I’m able to bond with my dad with so I definitely want to make it to a show with him if I can.

Saw a joke: Rush finally found a way to get a woman to come to a Rush concert. Get one to join the band.
