Weirdly I’ve seen four of his movies without liking any of them, but Tangerine is simultaneously the most annoying and the best. Everything after that is pretty whatever, mostly just like he came up with a milieu (Florida welfare queens, ex-porn stars, outer borough Russian expats) and hoped that would be distinctive enough to fill in the blanks.
