Well for most of the history of TV it wasn't important to watch an entire series

and most people probably thought that most shows got bad toward the end. Now if it declines toward the end alot of people think it invalidates the entire series. And if it could still keep going after a set number of seasons the streaming service ends it anyway, because they determined that after 5 seasons a series can’t bring in more subscribers anymore.
