One last question

I trained my first three characters a level in First Aid for 800 coins each from the woman in the Portal Fortress but I couldn’t afford the fourth. Is the skill cumulative? Like, is your effectiveness at first aid pooled, or is it each character for himself? I have I think six levels of First Aid total and I think it’s pooled because everyone’s health is restored to full after battle. I’m guessing I’ll need more levels in it later on but for now it keeps me going away from towns.

I’ll play more tomorrow. I’ve cleared all the quests I can in Upper Avernum and the western part of the surface province; I saved at the newly discovered Farport. The game is really picking up. I need to learn the fire rain spell at Fort Emergence for my mage, which should help clear swarms. There’s one more thing to do in Upper Avernum right now, and that’s to kill a pack of sliths guarding a treasure (probably). They kicked my ass when I was going around exploring.

I got annihilated by a group of troglodytes in a mountain pass a bit to the east. I’m guessing they’re guarding the road to the next province but I’m nowhere near up to fighting them yet.
