Did you try the 4-disc reissues of Tim (“Let It Bleed Edition”) and Don’t Tell A Soul (“Dead Man’s Pop”?) They were generally well received–people who hate how Don’t Tell A Soul was originally produced (hot take: I love the album the way it was) were very positive about the remixes. I’ve also replaced my yearly listen to Tim with the new Ed Stasium mix on the box set. If you want more piano and keyboard-strings in “Here Comes A Regular,” have I got the remix for you!

You also never answered me about whether or not you read Trouble Boys. Or, for that matter, A Man Called Destruction, which made Alex Chilton’s life look FAR worse (and in far greater detail) than any other retelling of the Big Star story that I know of.
