The Codeine album is the kind of album where you can guess all the lyrics are young-man 3AM angst so you just sort of get the idea and don’t think about it very much, and it doesn’t help that the dude can’t sing worth a shit, but neither really could Brian McMahan on Spiderland. That being said I was a lot more likely to pay attention to Slint’s lyrics which are obviously far better.

And no, nobody’s ever mentioned them on this board. I was looking for either early 90s shoegaze or post-rock stuff for my wild-card album and may have mistaken them for one of the two.
