The Boyz II Men song was like number one for many weeks I think too. yeah completely overdramatic cloying kind of song as far as im concerned. I liked making people laugh imitating the spoken word part with the really deep voice sometimes though.

Baby Got Back is of course some kind of “classic” now in a meme sense. It is funny this song existed and it must have been something really different and hilarious in 1992. So a bit ahead of its time I guess?

Kris Kross reminds me of those “make my video” Sega cd games in the early 90s, where you can edit your own video for Kris Kross songs using dumb stock footage or whatever. Yeah not totally a bad song and not as dated as it seems like it would be

I have a confession that I really like “tears in heaven”. It is overdramatic and maybe exploiting his son (i dont think so though.. he has a right to do a tribute to his son if he wanted.. and if its a hit I guess he didnt downright pander to get a hit necessarily ) but I think its a really pretty song and I like the melody. Its a nice laid back sad little tune that isn’t vomit inducing or anything and its pretty likeable for what it is.

Under the Bridge is a classic these days as far as what the general public thinks about it and it is a good song but I am so tired of it. Right now I have no desire to listen to it for a long time.

My mom loved Jon Secada AND Color Me Badd in the 90s when I was a kid. So I just laugh when im reminded of them and they remind me of her.
