Haw, haw, Santana & Rob Thomas, "Smooth"

“It wasn’t that obnoxious the first two or three times you heard it.” That is EXACTLY how I felt about “Soak Up the Sun” by Sheryl Crow. Give this two more years. Crow’s song became annoying almost instantly. But I never liked “Smooth.”

Creed, “Higher.” Surprisingly, I don’t hate this song. You are right that “With Arms Wide Open” is even worse. And I think that Nickelback and Three Doors Down both suck even more than Creed.

By the time Madonna came out with “Music,” she couldn’t write a decent song anymore. At that point, she was best known for marrying a movie director and, well, making a terrible film. And this was before she performed a Half Time Show at the Super Bowl. By about a decade?

I still maintain that “Ray of Light” is Madonna’s one good album. Late Nineties?
