Announcement of the Martyrdom of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Hosseini Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful
“Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we shall return.”
O great nation of Iran!
The exalted soul of the Leader of the great nation of Iran and the vanguard of the Islamic Ummah, His Eminence Imam Khamenei, has ascended to the highest heavens after drinking the sweet nectar of martyrdom in the blessed month of Ramadan.
The Supreme National Security Council has issued the following statement in this regard:
In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful
The noble soul of the Leader of the great nation of Iran, the freedom-seekers of the world, and the Islamic Ummah, His Eminence Imam Khamenei (may God sanctify his pure soul), has joined the highest realm and attained his long-cherished aspiration. Following the path of his great forefather, Imam Ali (pbuh), in the blessed month of Ramadan he proclaimed the heavenly call, “By the Lord of the Ka’aba, I have succeeded,” and was received into the sacred presence of the Divine, drinking the sweet nectar of martyrdom in this holy month.
Today, the steadfast nation of Iran, the Islamic Ummah, and the freedom-loving people of the world mourn due to the malicious attacks of criminal America and the wicked Zionists. Yet the bloodthirsty enemies and tyrannical powers of the world must know that the awakened hearts of humanity have found their path. These martyrdoms, though heavy and painful for our nation and the Islamic peoples, will make them more steadfast and resolute. Undoubtedly, the martyrdom of that great and noble personality will mark the beginning of a mighty uprising in the struggle against the oppressors of the world.
