and it ended in 1982. They had a weird reunion tour in the late ’80s where Pete played an acoustic guitar and they brought in another electric guitarist and alot of backup musicians. They played all of Tommy on that tour. Then they did a tour in the ’90s where they played Quadrophenia. I don’t think either of those were announced as a “final tour.” Around 2000 they returned to being a regular touring band and continued for 25 years.
