I used to have the 33 1/3 series books about Gn’R’s Use Your Illusion II and the Kinks’ Village Green Preservation Society, but both books bored me to tears and I lost interest quickly. Thanks for your warning about Murmur, another one of my favorite albums.
I checked out Scent of a Woman from the library a couple of years ago, but also lost interest about 45 minutes in. But Roger Ebert gave it a favorable review. I enjoyed reading that more than I actually liked watching the movie.
I have Robyn Hitchcock and the Egyptians “Gotta Let This Hen Out Live” on LP. I understand it has a lot of songs from “Underwater Moonlight” on it. (Same band, right?) I’ll have to give it another twirl.
