I also didn’t care for Love And Death. It is sometimes praised as one of his best pre Annie Hall but I don’t see it. I saw it once but don’t remember much from it like Joe. It didn’t leave much of an impression on me either. I felt like the period piece aspect of it and the costumes and whatnot were spent more time on than the actual comedy or plot.

Last Days is so tedious and so quiet and uneventful but I found some of that kind of funny in certain scenes. I remember him eating cereal in one scene and laughing that he put the box cereal in the refrigerator for some reason. Those stupid parts are the only things I remember much. Gus Van Sant had some good movies otherwise though, a few at least. I really liked Drug Store Cowboy but my favorite overall was My Own Private Idaho. River Phoenix was great in that one and its funny seeing Flea from RHCP in it randomly too. I think Anthony Keidis too. Good Will Hunting was also good. Also he did that pointless shot for shot remake of Psycho no one likes.

Haven’t seen Platoon in many many years possibly since HBO in the 90s or something. I definitely need a rewatch of that one.
