Their 2007 album, and the first and only Mondays album I ordered on day of release. It’s generally panned, and I have no idea why: I love it.
Paul Ryder’s fuzzy bass pounds while electro-funk beats thump over it and Shaun Ryder spouts barely-comprehensible gibberish over it, sounding drunk, cracked-out, or both. Good stuff.
There have been two Black Grape albums since this one. Paul is dead, but Shaun is musically active and not nearly as addled as he plays up on Dysfunktional. Whose dick do I gotta suck to get a new Happy Mondays album?
