Aftermath is the most mature Stones album to that point but I’m not sure I enjoy it more than Now, and I even like Goin’ Home. Actually, thinking about it more, maybe I do like it more than any of the albums before it. Anyway, I think the first really strong album is England’s Newest Hit Makers.
I do still think that their best period starts with Beggars Banquet.
