I know that I didn’t like Love & Death much, but I barely remember it.

I liked Time Bandits alot but it’s been forever since I saw it. I at least kind of remember it. I should rewatch it. I’m sure that it’s not better than Brazil or Twelve Monkeys, but I was pretty into it when I watched it.

Life of Brian is good, and I haven’t seen it a million times like I have Holy Grail. I think the “Roman’s Go Home” scene is the one I see referenced most often.

I thought that 1941 was better than its reputation but I don’t feel like rewatching it. It’s not close to being the worst Spielberg, I’d give that to The Color Purple. I don’t like Munich or The Lost World either. There are some I haven’t seen from the 21st century that are probably bad. Oh, speaking of John Landis, I don’t like Spielberg’s Twilight Zone segment, but he totally switched which episode he was remaking after Landis killed people and scared him away from doing something with kids and night and special effects. His heart probably wasn’t in it anymore either. But I bet his “Monsters Are Due on Maple Street” would have been good.

We’ve talked about Platoon since I last saw it so I have nothing new to say. There’s alot to praise, but it’s one of those movies where the plot is the worst part. That said, it still deserves to be considered a classic, if a flawed one.

Soylent Green is one of the most famous SF movies I’ve never seen. Maybe I’ll read the book first. I bet I’ll like it more than you do.
