I’d become really unhappy with the state of my apartment but it was going to be such a project to try and fix it up that I was dreading tackling it, and then the owners said that my unit needed maintenance renovations (not my fault, it just needed it) and they were moving me into a new unit in the same building. It was a pain in the ass to move but in the end it was such a blessing, since it was an opportunity for a fresh start. Also, there were storage spaces in the basement that I hadn’t been taking advantage of, so I moved all of my physical music media and alot of books (some of which I still care about, but didn’t want to store in my living space anymore). I also threw away a ton of old clothes that weren’t worth donating. I feel so much better now, and so much more motivated to clean regularly because it doesn’t feel like I’m fighting the hydra.
