That is, cheap old-school regional swill.
They’re better known in today’s world for their malt liquor brand, featuring a red or a blue bull on the 40/tallboy, hence it was colloquially known as “red bull” or “blue bull” respectively; I think one was higher alcohol than the other, but by the 2010s only the blue bull remained. It was one of the better malt liquors, around 6% and similar to Colt 45 only I don’t think as sweet.
ed: the red bull is aged or lagered or something for longer – I’m totally unacquainted with the art of brewing so forgive my ignorance – for a bolder flavor with the same alcohol content. Imagine drinking malt liquor for the flavor.
