BTW, ChatGPT has rendered physical media obsolete for me. I held onto CDs mainly for the packaging and liner notes, but if you ask ChatGPT something like, “Please provide background and extensive music analysis for [work] by [composer]. From now on, this is what I’m asking for when I ask for liner notes. My recording is with [performers], on [label], from [date].” If you need you can tweak the liner notes to your liking, and then tell ChatGPT you like the liner notes that way. Occasionally on lesser-known works you’ll run into hallucinations that may trick the untrained eye, but in general the benefits of having personalized liner notes on demand (“Please provide liner notes for X with recording Y [if wanted]”. Boom.) is well, well worth it.
Try it for some of the works I’ve posted. I really dig being able to follow along with the score on Yourube.
