Judas Priest get way more mainstream radio play

and also waffled back and forth for a while between making albums for metalheads that also had enough pop craftsmanship to garner hits, and then making shit sellout albums. Bad Iron Maiden albums are more boring than bad Judas Priest albums, but they’re less embarrassing, because they’re just bad versions of the good albums. It’s funny that Priest were the band that made stuff like Turbo and those awful Nu-Metal albums with the other singer, but they were the one’s that lean hard into the 1980s “Metal is a lifestyle that will free the youth from conformity” schtick.

I’ve had trouble getting into the later Maiden albums. Anyone want to advocate for any of the post Dance of Death stuff?
