Ma nouvelle apartment

Apartment is obviously a French-derived word but I don’t know the actual French word.

Well in September they renovated my apartment building and moved me to another while they did that. Yesterday they moved me back to my swanky old new digs. I got the chance to rid myself of 80% of the crap I accumulated in my youth, benefit from experience in interior decorating, and remake my apartment to befit a 40-year-old instead of the kid who spent his youth there.

I need to move the mirror up and the lady with the rose to the left a bit, and then all I need to do is unpack the books and CDs. That will take a special mood and an entire day free for each. The red boxes are my record collection, which will probably never be unpacked because I digitized them all to my computer over the course of about ten years. Structural integrity aside, I’m just going to leave them there because (a) I have no other place for them, and (b) It’s veey hipster Crate and Barrel-like.
